Paid Firefighter Positions

Applicant must be a certified Texas Commission on Fire Protection firefighter and Texas Department of Health EMT-Basic (at the minimum). You must also have a high school diploma or the equivalent.

Volunteer Firefighter

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age. You must also be willing to test with the Texas Department of Public Safety to obtain a Class B exempt license within six (6) months. Department pays for all training and equipment to ensure the highest safety standards for all its' personnel. Applicants may download the application attached and bring it to the Fire Station at 1021 Fourth Street at 7:00pm on Tuesday nights.



Junior Volunteer Firefighter

This application is for those interested in the fire service but have not yet turned 18 years old. This section of the volunteer fire department allows the applicant to get up close to the fire service while ensuring safety until the applicant turns 18. On their 18th birthday they will be voted into full membership with the volunteer fire department. Applicants may attend all training classes and go on calls as long as it is within the bounds of the by-laws of the volunteer fire department.
