Part-time firefighting applications can be downloaded here. It is the desire of the Rosenberg Fire Department to hire a pool of Texas Commission on Fire Protection (TCFP) certified firefighters that are currently employed as full-time firefighters with a fire department recognized by the Texas Commission on Fire Protection. This pool of part-time firefighters will help us supplement the 30 suppression positions already funded as full-time firefighters for the City of Rosenberg. There will be no written test or physical agility test that will need to be completed as a condition of being hired as a part-time employee. Applicants must be able to provide written proof of a physical assessment completed by a medical professional within the last 365 days or submit to testing through the City of Rosenberg. Applicants will need to submit to a psychiatric evaluation and a drug screening prior to being offered a position as a part-time employee. Interested Texas Commission on Fire Protection certified firefighters working full-time as a firefighter for a TCFP recognized fire department should fill out an application and deliver it to Rosenberg City Hall located at 2110 Fourth Street in Rosenberg, Texas.
