Mayor
 Mayor
Joe M. Gurecky was elected to the office of City Councilor,
representing District 4, in May 1995. He graduated from Needville
High School and attended Wharton County Junior College and
Taylor Vocational and Technical School. The Mayor was a manufacturing
manager at N.L. Baroid from 1957 until he founded his company,
Gurecky Manufacturing Service, Inc., in Rosenberg, in 1983.
He has also farmed and raised cattle in the Fairchild and
Guy area for 40 years.
